Doug had more friends than you could ever wish for. He always had a kind word and a smile for everyone and was happiest when he was helping someone out. He was a proud Teamster 213 member and a strong trade unionist. He strongly supported and contributed to the community and high school sports, and even after his sons were no longer playing he still enjoyed watching Notre Dame Jugglers High School Football. His family was his life and we will miss him terribly.
Due to Covid restrictions, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held for family only at St. Helen’s Church, Burnaby. At a later date, a Memorial and Wake will be held in Doug’s memory. If you would like to attend, please respond to dougpayettememorial@gmail.com.
In lieu of flowers donations in Doug’s memory can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC, or the Prostate Cancer Society.
May God hold you in the palm of his hands until we meet again.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Douglas Edward Payette May 29 1948 January 7 2021..
