Irene’s Obituary
KENNEDY, Irene Josephine – Age 82, of Middleton, Annapolis Co., passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on July 22, 1938, in Saint John, N.B., she was a daughter of the late John F. and Helen E. (Weir) Bennett. Surviving are son, Victor Firth; daughter, Janette Firth; grandchildren, Chasity, Tiffaney and Anthony; three great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Nora), James (Darlene) and Richard (Kathy); sister, Carol (Thomas) Bourgeois; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ross Kennedy; stepfather, Wilfred Weir; son, Brian Townsend. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448.
