Obituary
Donald A. Vankoughnet Sr. – passed peacefully and quietly at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Vankoughnet (nee McNevin). Proud and loving father of Don Jr. (Doreen), Bob (Wendy), Beverley (Tarq), Ron (Deb), Lorie. Pre-deceased by his son Peter. Grampa will always be cherished in the hearts of his grandchildren Kimberley (Tony), Amanda, Andrew, Chantelle (Nam), Kylee (Nate), Shasta (Steve), Kassandra, Erika (Aaron), Ryan (Anne), Murray (Rae), Jerred, Beau and by his many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Don will be sadly missed by his brother Bill Vankoughnet. Pre-deceased by his parents William & Andrea Vankoughnet and his brother George. Fondly remembered by his special friend Melba Lameront, as well as his extended family and many friends.
Cremation has taken place with Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. A private family service will take place at the Riverview “Western” Cemetery. We wish to extend a sincere thank-you and appreciation to the doctors and nurses at the L&A Hospital and the John M. Parrott Centre for the extraordinary care our father received over the last few weeks.
