Kay passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 at the age of 99 years. Kay is survived by her sons, Merle of Maple Creek and Lenard (Debbie) of Medicine Hat; one daughter-in-law, Darlene Wilcox; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Kay was predeceased by her husband, Wesley; daughter, Carol and son, Richard. Kay was born in Maple Creek, SK to Richard and Mary Newton. Kay was raised on a farm in the Oxarat area north of Consul, SK. Kay was the fourth of five Children. On November 21, 1941, Kay married Wesley Wilcox, together they raised four children. Kay resided on the family home in Consul until she was 90 years old, then moved to Maple Creek, SK to the Seniors Manor. A private Graveside Service will be held at the Consul Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Kathleen’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be sent to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Kathleen Wilcox.

  1. In our thoughts and prayers. Mom was one special lady. Always enjoyed talking with her. My fondest memory is her laughter and her high heels.Loved watching her and Wes dance.Can see her dancing on streets of gold in her heels. Keep on dancing Kay. RIP.
