Obituary
Embleton, Pauline
November 15, 1937 – May 27, 2021
EMBLETON – Pauline. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum, Pauline Embleton on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
Born November 15, 1937 in London, England, Pauline grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. She trained as a children’s nurse and spent several happy years working in Glasgow. In 1963 she married William (Bill) Embleton and in 1967 Mum, Dad and Sharon immigrated to Canada, living first in Thompson, MB before moving to Saskatoon in 1968.
While bringing up her three daughters, Mum found time to volunteer for various organizations. For leisure, Mum enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, movies and shopping, especially for handbags (with a prize winning collection of Guess).
Pauline is survived by her three daughters, Sharon (Micheal) Ostoforoff, Morag (Greg) Embleton Kimpton, and Caron Dagenais; her five grandchildren (Victoria, Connor, Ryan, Ian, Anne); and her fur grandbabies (Taz, Daisy, Zeus, Ajax). Her husband, Bill and son in law Jim predecease Pauline.
The family expresses a special thanks to the nurses, staff and doctors of St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. As Mum was a lifelong blood donor, for those who are able and willing, please consider donating blood. Arrangements in care of Ashley Knash – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
