Floyd Frederick
MacDonald – Born in Scott’s Bay on November 10,
1938. Passed away peacefully with his daughters, Peggy and
Donna, by his side on Monday, May 31, 2021. Floyd was a hard
worker and a good provider. He enjoyed fishing, small game hunting,
swimming, dancing, playing crib, trucking and lobster with a cold
beer. Floyd was always smiling and was quick to have a comment to make
people laugh. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great
grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend. He was last employed
with G K Morse Trucking. He will be dearly missed by his
loving wife of 43 years, Joyce (Rand) MacDonald, who gave him the best
of care through his battle with cancer. He will also be greatly missed
by his daughters, Peggy MacDonald, and Donna (Alvin) Rand; son, Craig
MacDonald (Tammy); stepchildren, Bobby (Theresa) Burns, David Burns
(Jolene), Katherine Burns (Chris) and Maureen (Jodi) Mahar; his kitty,
Angel; grandchildren, Tanya, Kevin, Joey, Hannah and Carlene; step
grandchildren, Laura, Christal, Jessie and Arie; several great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his
beloved son, Stephen MacDonald; former wife, Joan Barkhouse; sister,
Phillis Schaffer; brothers, Austin and Marvin; and parents, Anley and
Stella MacDonald. A private graveside service will take place
in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington. Donations in memory may be made to
Palliative Care, Annapolis Valley VON, Canadian Cancer Society or
Cystic Fibrosis. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White
Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.

you’d never lose it. A piece of us all left when you made
your journey to heaven.”
