Victor Anthony Stanage Reid – 52, of
Kentville, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. Born in Kentville, he
was a son of the late Arthur “Sid” and Marjorie
(Brown) Reid. Victor graduated from Central
Kings, Cambridge and worked for numerous schools in Kentville, New
Minas and Coldbrook as a janitor. He loved music, especially Elvis and
Bruce Springsteen. He liked spending time with his friends and family
while listening to his good friend Matthew Millett play his guitar and
sing. He enjoyed writing poems and lyrics for songs, playing darts
with his mother, and visiting Black Rock and Hall’s Harbour.
He also enjoyed drawing in his free
time. Victor is survived by his daughter, Lakyn Reid (James
Crocker); son, Jeremy Reid; brother, Ian Blenus; cousin and close
friend, Sonia Matheson; and the mother of his children, Tanya
Hallyburton-Reid; as well as many friends and extended family. In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings in
infancy, Connie, Lawrence and Ryan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a
private funeral service will be held. Interment will take place in Elm
Grove Cemetery. A video webcast of the service will be available on
Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Donations in memory may be
made to Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova
Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. To view the video
