Obituary of Bob McKeough
McKEOUGH, BOB – dedicated his life to being a fighter: trained and coached hand-to-hand combat, served his country with distinction for 37 years and held true to his word by fighting the good fight right until the end. On May 20, 2021, just after celebrating his 73rd birthday, with his loving family by his side Bob left this world a loved, courageous, honoured fighter.
Bob McKeough of Petawawa, beloved and respected husband of Geraldine “Jeri” McKeough (nee Hudlin). Bob’s son Dallas McKeough and his wife Krista will always admire Bob for his quick wit, great spirit and for the many athletic endeavours he set out on. He was loved by his fur grandbabies – in which there were many. His family will cherish many fond memories of Bob’s passion for golf, cross country skiing, running, the Petawawa Legion, his family and mentoring our next generation of brave soldiers. Son of the late Gerry & Stella McKeough. Brother of Donalda McCue (Franklin). Uncle of John McCue.
Respecting Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family Graveside Memorial Service with Military Honours will be held at the Beechwood National Military Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Online donations & condolences are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
