Obituary of Evelyn “Evie” Mau
Mau, Evelyn Marion “Evie” – passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 22, 2021 in her 92nd year.
Evie Mau (nee Verch) of Petawawa, wife of the late Elmer Mau. Loving mother of Sharon Krieger (Robert), Cobden; Beverly Mau (Mike Fischer), Arnprior; Faith Mau, Arnprior; and Fred Mau (Gina), Petawawa. Cherished Grandma to 12 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late John & Flora Verch (nee Zohr) and dear sister to Lloyd Verch (Carol). Predeceased by sisters Eleanor Tiegs (late Martin) & Lois Verch. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Shona Dion, LHIN Care Coordinator; Jessica, Maureen & the staff at Access Home Care for being with Mom throughout her entire journey; and Heather & the Bayshore Home Care Nurses for all the help they gave Fred & Gina along the way.
Due to the restrictions surrounding COVID-19, a virtual Funeral Service will be held from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., and the public is invited to share in the service live on Facebook at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pembroke or a recording of the service after May 26 on the funeral home website. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
