It is with heavy hearts the family of Stella May (Harding) Savage of Kelly’s Special Care Home Quarryville formerly of Russellville N.B. Took her final breaths at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on May 22, 2021 at the age of 90 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Tabusintac, N.B. she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Price) Harding.
Mom met the love of her life our dad after he returned from World War II in 1945, they fell in love had 6 beautiful children and celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary prior to dads passing in 2015.
Our Mom, Nanny and Aunt Stella will always be remembered for her compassion, kindness to all who met her whether it was family, friend, or stranger. While raising her 6 children, Stella spent 25 years sharing her customer service attributes across many fields within the hospitality industry. Always a lady who took pride in her appearance and who had a love for VW Bugs.
Stella is survived by two sons Howard (Murielle) Neguac, Ralph (Lorna) Doaktown, daughters Deborah (Jeff) Calgary, AB, Donna (Brent) Russellville, sister- in law Rita Patterson, 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Stella is predeceased by her husband Bernard, sons James, Guy and grandson Breven, sisters Ellen, Isabel, Ina and Hilma brothers Franklin, Elmer, Donald, Wallace and William she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Kelly’s Special Care Home for the exceptional kindness and care that was given to mom and all the 4th floor nurses and staff at the Miramichi Hospital during her final months. To Murielle who has been our mother’s steady companion the last seven years you are an Angel here on earth.
Stella May Savage is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Monday evening from 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Leon Creamer officiating. Burial will follow in St Peter & Paul Roman catholic Cemetery.
