It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Elizabeth “Beth” Murphy of Little Bay announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at the age of 75. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Michael of 56 years; son, Gary Murphy (Mary Lou) of Little Bay; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Murphy of St. John’s, and Brandon Murphy (Selinna Lake) of St. John’s; 1 great-grand-daughter, Hailee; brothers, Henry Farewell (Claudia Kelly) of Marystown, Charles Farewell (Verlie) of Creston South, Cecil Farewell (Jess) of Nova Scotia, Austin Farewell of Creston South, and Bill Farewell of Marystown; sisters, Nora Stapleton (Vince) of Marystown, Ruby Pardy (Randel) of Garnish, Rona Legge of Marystown, Florence Cleal of Creston South, and Cindy Smith (Keith) of Nova Scotia; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, George and Rita Farewell; sister, Mavis Farewell; and her brother, Wade Farewell.
The Murphy Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Friday, May 21st from 10am – 12pm, 2-4pm, and 7-9pm.
As per COVID 19 regulations, only 20 people can be in the funeral home at a time and everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required.
Please note that there is no food permitted in the funeral home during Covid.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 10am.
Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Little Bay.
In Elizabeth’s memory, donations may be made to the Daffodil Place or flowers gratefully accepted.
