Obituary
Labrecque, Roméo (1937 – 2021) – It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Roméo Labrecque on Saturday, May 15th at the age of 84 with his children by his side.
Beloved husband of the late Gisèle Labrecque (née Laneville), cherished father of Francine (Conrad Giroux) of Guelph, Jocelyne (Richard Charters) of Ajax and Michel (Tracy Matton) of North Bay. Proud grandfather of Kevin, Brody, Tyler, Tamika, Justin, Tiana and Bentley. Roméo will be sadly missed by his sister Marie-Rose Bélecque and his late brother Maurice.
Roméo loved camping, spending time with his family and his grandchildren and loved to tinker around and fixing things in his own way. Roméo was a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Chevalier de Colomb.
A sincere thank you goes out to the Doctors and Nurses of the Kidney Clinic in Whitby and of the Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation (cheques only).
The family will be receiving visitors at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES in North Bay on Friday, May 21, 2021 between the hours of 9 until 11 am and 1 until 2:30 pm. A private family service will follow at 3pm. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions attendance is by scheduled appointment only and the total number of attendees is limited. Please contact the funeral home to RVSP your attendance.
