Cathy Anne Simon
1964-2021
It is with broken hearts that we
announce the death of our mother, Cathy Anne
Simon, 56, of Middleton, NB, on Tuesday, January 4,
2021. Born in Sackville, NB, Cathy was a daughter of the
late Maynard and Barbara (McPhee) Conrad.
Cathy enjoyed camping. She was
a social butterfly who enjoyed going to pig roasts and corn
boils. She enjoyed music with country and bluegrass being
her favourite and was an avid dancer. She cared about
everyone, and would take care of those in need, including many friends
and foster children. She loved all animals and at one time
even owned a skunk.
Cathy was deeply devoted to her family;
she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She will be
missed.
Cathy is survived by her children,
Stacey (John Ward) Simon, Elsipogtog, NB, Stephen (Brandi) Simon,
Elsipogtog, NB, and Lori (Joe Roberts) Clair, Elsipogtog, NB;
grandchildren, Baylie, Ayden, both of Berry Mills, Emily, of
Bouctouche and Dylan and Jace, both of St. Louis-de Kent, NB; her
siblings, Terry Conrad, Sackville and Bonnie Stanley, of Sackville, as
well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by a granddaughter, Tanisha Ward, of Eel Ground, NB, as well as her
spouse, Blair Richard.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). A funeral
service will be held at the funeral home at 2 pm on Saturday, January,
16. 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions,
pre-registration for the service is required. Please
bring your masks and respect social distancing
protocols.
Donations in memory of Cathy may be made
to the Canadian Lung Association.
