WILFRED HERBERT JOSEPH VANNER
MARCH 6, 1938 – JANUARY 5, 2021
Wilfred Herbert Joseph Vanner of Tillsonburg and formerly of London passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of the Late Rosemary (O’Brien) Vanner (2010). Proud and loving father of Catherine Vanner (Lee) of Aylmer, Denise Vanner (Paul) of Scarborough, Michael Vanner (Rayna) of Toronto and Maureen Shilliday (Mike) of Eden. Special friend of Joan Kelly of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather of Veronica, James, Jeremy, Michael and great-grandfather of Kieran, Ronan, Leila, Victoria, Brynnlee and Brycen. Also survived by many nieces and newphews. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Louisa (Bailey) Vanner, 2 sisters Ethel and Mary and 3 brothers Carl, Percy and Arnold. Wilfred was a production worker at Kelloggs in London for many years and a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion in London. In keeping with Wilfred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Poppy Fund may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
