Donald Wahamaa Monday May 3rd 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald Allan Wahamaa, suddenly Monday, May 3, 2021. Don leaves behind Linda his loving wife and best friend of 43 years.
He is predeceased by his parents Aate (Len) and Lillian Wahamaa. Brother of Douglas Wahamaa of Azilda; nephew of Wayne and Gail Wahamaa of Coniston; brother-in-law of Brenda Lipsit (Jim), Goulais River, ON. Favourite uncle and Godfather to Deborah Shillito (Glenn), Victoria BC; Kathleen Dunn, Sault Ste. Marie, Cyndi Campone, Cochrane AB and Derek Helmer (Angie), Ottawa. Don will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be especially missed by his devoted pets Violet and Dex.
Don loved music and playing his guitar. He loved nature and being outdoors with his golden retrievers. Solving technical problems and working on construction projects were a source of great joy. You could always find him working on many projects at home and camp. He was an active member of the “set build team” with his local theatre group Onstage Uxbridge. Don spent his working years with IBM Canada.
Special thanks for the love and support of friends especially June and Norm MacLeod and Gay and Mike Shanahan.
Funeral arrangements will be shared by Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge and Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, Sudbury, ON and will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
