Chartrand, Irène (née Séguin) 1932 – 2021
After a courageous battle with cancer Irène passed away with her daughters by her side on May 4 2021. She was predeceased by her parents Léo Séguin Sr. and Victoria (Plouffe) as well as her husband Hector Chartrand and son Jacques (Lorraine).
Loving mother of Lorraine Chartrand-Duffy (John) and Denise Surprenant ( Denis).
Cherished grandmother to Matthew Duffy (Vicky), Mélanie Duffy and Elizabeth Surprenant (Adrien Eichene). Great grandmother to Thomas and Scott Duffy.
Predeceased by her brother Ernest (Beatrice), sister Noëllà Brassard Gérald) and brother Léo Jr. (Jackie). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to the people at the Belcourt Manor as well as the Bayshore nurses and PSW’s. The family will have a private ceremony at a later date.

Les enfants ont le regret d’annoncer le décès de leur mère. Elle était la fille de feu Léo Séguin et de feu Victoria (Plouffe). Épouse de feu Hector Chartrand. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Lorraine Chartrand-Duffy (John), Denise Surprenant (Denis) et Jacques (prédécédé) (Lorraine). Elle laisse aussi ses petits-enfants Matthew Duffy (Vicky), Mélanie Duffy ainsi qu’ Elizabeth Surprenant (Adrien Eichene) et ses arrières petits enfants Thomas et Scott Duffy. Elle fut prédécédée par ses frères et sœur Ernest (Béatrice), Noëllà Brassard (Gérald) et Léo Jr. (Jacqueline). Elle sera manquée par ses nombreux neveux et nièces. Nous remercions les gens du Manoir Belcourt à Orléans ainsi que les proches aidants. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au salon funéraire Théoret Bourgeois à Sturgeon Falls. Vos dons peuvent être faits directement à la Société canadienne du cancer.
