TRUSKOVSKY Matvey 2021

TRUSKOVSKY, Matvey
Matvey Truskovsky went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2021. He was born on May 16, 1941 in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. Matvey lost his parents when he was only one year old and was raised by his grandmother, Helena. When he was young, he played volleyball professionally and obtained a degree in education and later pursued a degree in theology. In 1992 he accepted Jesus as His personal Saviour with his family through his son Alexander. Pastor Matvey actively served the Lord by evangelizing, organizing ministries in prisons and youth detention centres. He loved the Lord with all his heart and spoke about Him to everyone. In 2000 he became an ordained minister. He was married to Lydia and they had two children, Alexander and Elena, and five grandchildren, whom he deeply loved and cherished. In 2004, together with his wife and daughter, Matvey immigrated to Montreal, Canada, where his son Alexander was living. In 2006 pastor Matvey established the “Holy Trinity” Evangelical Church in Montreal, where he served as a pastor for 14 years. He later moved with his wife to Oshawa to be closer to their children, where he continued serving God with Word and prayer at the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church (Grace Church). Pastor Matvey had a great impact on many people who came to Jesus through him and memories of him will stay in all of our hearts.
