Kathleen (Kaye) Fischer
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital with her loving family by her side on Thursday, April 29, 2021, Kaye Fischer of London and formerly of Oakville and Kitchener at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife for 64 years of Harold Fischer of London. Loving mother of Harold and Kathy Fischer of Oakville and Tim and Jane Fischer of London. Proud grandma of Kristopher, Kyle, Katherine and Cheyne. Dear sister of Tom and Diane Longeway, the late Louise and Bob Rogers, the late Dan Longeway and Darlene and the late Cleto Genelza. Loved by her sister-in-law Judy Longeway. Also loved by several nieces and nephews. Kaye’s life revolved around Harold, her family and grandchildren. Throughout her life she enjoyed sewing, baseball, hockey and art. Kaye lived in Oakville from 1965 until 1983. While there she loved her home and Sawyer Rd., neighbours as well as sunny afternoons in Bronte by the lake. She was also very active in the OMBA baseball as a coach, convenor and executive. She often said that Oakville was the perfect place to raise a family and held it dear to her heart.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic a private family celebration of Kaye’s life will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 am with Reverend Matthew Penny officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation 180-633 Colborne St., London, Ont. N6B 2V3 gratefully acknowledged.
