children, Kathryn Morgan, Joseph Reynolds and Ann McGivery; a daughter
in law, Brenda Reynolds; his parents-in-law James and Mossie Reynolds,
his in-laws, Benjamin Reynolds, Howard Reynold and Annie Houghton
(late Albert).
Harold was born on January 20, 1930 in Saint John, NB. As an infant
he was adopted by the Hansons and brought to Lower Hainesville, NB.
Perley was a farmer and managed a logging operation with Bessie as
their cook, so Harold spent much of his youth in the lumber camps. If
he could hold your ear, he would be more than happy regaling his
stories, over and over, about his younger years.
In 1950 he married Mary and they made their home right next to his
parents and raised five children there. Harold worked as a labourer
at many different locations and had lots of stories to tell about that
as well. He was also a religious man and a dedicated member of the
Seventh-day Adventist Church.
After his retirement, he developed a keen passion in his genealogy.
He along with his daughter Ann would spend countless hours searching
his family tree through the archives, gravesite and visiting anyone
who would give him a bit of information.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a private gathering, by invitation only,
will be held at the St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery at a later
date.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Harold, the family
has suggested St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery (cheques to Anglican
Parish of Bright).
