Zelechowski Ignacy May 12 1939

IGNACY ZELECHOWSKI, beloved husband of the late Stanislava Zelechowski, of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the age of 81 years.

Stella, his beloved wife of over 50 years, preceded him in death. He is the dear father of Dorothy (Shayne) Ritter and Margaret (Greg) Krzyzanski. A loving grandfather of Matthew (Lauren), Megan, Adam and Brady, and a great-grandfather of Maverick.

Ignacy was born in Poland just before the start of WWII, where he worked as a tailor and in the mine. In 1978, he gave up his dream of owning his own tailor shop and moved with his family to Canada to start a new life. He worked hard his whole life and devoted his time to his family, gardening and renovating. He enjoyed large family gatherings and parties with friends.

He will be cherished in our hearts forever for his unfailing kindness, and his quirky sense of humour. His pleasant ways touched everyone who knew him.

A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 St. S, Lethbridge, AB on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
