Obituary of Zelda Frances Waycott
It is with great sadness that the family of Zelda Waycott, beloved wife of the late Donald Waycott, announce her passing which occurred peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Turnbull Nursing Home. Born on February 26, 1925 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Ella (Scribner) Fisher.
Zelda devoted her life to caring for the needs of her family and always treasured the times spent with those she loved. She looked forward to socializing with her dear friends, was an avid reader and enjoyed a good game of cards. Zelda will always be fondly remembered.
Zelda will be lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Paul Waycott (Ann) of Saint John and Heather Jones (Fred) of Welsford; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Dean and Myles; as well as two step-brothers.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 1:30 PM in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery followed by a celebration of Zelda’s life being held in Brenan’s Bay View Reception Room, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7424) from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
