Wittland Robert ‘Bob’ April 16th 2020

Wittland, Robert ‘Bob’
April 16th, 2020
Of London, passed peacefully in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his beloved family, on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at the age of 71. Born on February 22, 1949, in Herford, Germany. Bob is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Sue Wittland, of 52 years; their two sons, Steve and Christopher (Shannon); Three cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Chase, and Andie; his sister, Irene Wood; and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, the late Jerry Wittland. Bob is also missed by many incredible, and devoted lifelong friends, many of which were a part of why his life was so fulfilled and complete. A special ‘thank you’ to the many health care workers at Victoria Hospital – Cancer Clinic and Dr. Gillis for the compassionate care and support given throughout Bob’s eight-year battle with multiple myeloma – many bouts of which he won. Bob was a truly formidable opponent, beating many odds and overcoming many challenges of the disease – a true soldier! A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a future date where family and friends can share together all of their wonderful memories. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.
