Wilma Latimer
December 02, 1960 – November 19, 2020
In loving memory of Wilma Patricia Latimer, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, November 19, 2020. Wilma is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Chris) and grandchildren Callie and Chase. Her sister Barbara, niece Vanessa (Malcolm) and nephew Trevor (Ashley) and great-nephews Zachary and Owen, numerous other in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Wilma was predeceased by her husband Donnie Latimer, her mother and father Patricia and George Pastushenko and brother Timothy.
Wilma was born in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, and moved to Dryden when she was very young. Dryden was where she met the love of her life Donnie Latimer, and they became public school sweethearts where they were together for the next 36 years.
They built their forever home in 1983, where they welcomed their only daughter Jennifer a few years later. Wilma had various jobs in the community, with the most recent 18 years at Walmart, where she has made some lifelong friends.
Wilma loved life and had a great sense of humour and is known for her infectious laugh. She lived for her grandchildren, family, and dogs – Rambo and Baby. She loved camping, spending time with family and friends, playing cards and spending time around the fire listening to country music.
A private Family Service will be held at a later date.
If friends desire donations may be made to DRHC Foundation (Dialysis) through Stevens Funeral Homes P.O. Box 412 Dryden, ON P8N 2Z1. Condolences may be posted on Stevens Funeral Homes Facebook page or at www.stevensfuneralhomes.ca
