Willis’ Obituary
Irwin, Willis Bernard- 96; It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of Willis Bernard Irwin of Roseway Manor, formerly Jordan Bay. Born October 14, 1923 to Helen (Purney) and John Irwin, Dad passed away peacefully on July 28, 2020. Dad was a fisherman all his life and enjoyed being on the water. Dad was a Veteran of the Second World War, though he did not serve overseas. He was a member of the Shelburne Lions Club for many years and he was the sole Caretaker of the Ocean View Cemetery for over 20 years. Dad was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline (2015) and daughter Marilyn (2015), brother , John in infancy and brothers Herbert and Russell. Survived by daughter, Charlene and her husband David; grandson Devin- Dad’s pride and joy and Devin’s partner Nicole Hamilton. Dad will be remembered for his storytelling and laughter. He will be missed by many, including his family at Roseway Manor. I wish to thank the Manor staff for making Dad’s time there as joyous as possible and for the wonderful care, compassion and kindness shown to Dad during his stay there. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium Ltd. Shelburne. There will be a closed family service at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to Roseway Manor, Sandy Point or Ocean View Cemetery, Jordan Bay. You may sign the guest book at:www.huskilson.net
