82 years, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus. Beloved husband of Sara. Dear father of Susan Rempel (Paul), Bill Thiessen (Linda), Ken Thiessen (late Darlene)(Maria), the late Ruth Froese (Jake (Stephanie)), Randy Thiessen (Mary), Peter Thiessen (Helen). Loving Grandpa of 33 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of 4 brothers and 5 sisters. He will also be missed by a large Church family, many friends, and especially his many little friends who recieved candy from him. Willie was the Pastor at New Reinland Mennonite Church for 25 years. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Tuesday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
A Private Funeral Service to celebrate Willie’s life will be at New Reinland Mennonite Church on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1 p.m. Live stream will be available at www.newreinlandmennonitechurch.com. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation is limited to a specific number of visitors. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in. Please book an appointment at www.reidfuneralhome.ca. All visitors must remain in their cars in our parking lot until their designated time and one of our staff members comes to invite you into our facility. Everyone must wear a mask.
