It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the untimely but peaceful passing of William Myran of the Chan Kagha Otina Dakota Nation.
William is survived by his grandfather Philip Myran, Mother Deborah Myran, Father Terrance Mantee. Siblings Angela, Jeannette Evelynne, Terrance, Tyrone, Star, and Nikita. Daughters Dakotah and Chasidy, and numerous kunsis unkannas, uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
William is predeceased by his Kunsi Mary Bunn (Paul), Unkan Moses Bunn, Kunsi Marjorie Standingready, Unkan Gordon Standingready, Kunsi Alma Myran, Kokum Clara Mantee, Mushum William Cote.
William was a special, kind, generous, humble, young akicitah who blessed and protected many who knew him. His spiritual belief in compassion, empathy, and love will be remembered and cherished for all those who walked beside him.
William worked especially hard and was preparing to work in security services in the front lines, helping in the fight against Covid-19.
William had a deep passion for sports, especially basketball, music, drawing, reading, playing chess, canoeing, and horses. His special personal interests included: cars, hip hop, acting, and the outdoors.
William’s spiritual beliefs in God’s powerful pathway to freedom and forgiveness from pain and suffering will help those in mourning. His spiritual understanding and empowering journey to ancestors camp will surround those with love and compassion, as we wipe our tears, look up to the sky, and pray for peace and gratitude as he carries our pain and uplifts our hearts so we may face life’s challenges with bravery, kindness, and caring spirits, because this is how William would want us to live, today and forever. Rest in Peace William, until we see each other in the Great Meeting in the Sky. We love you forever, in Special Remembrance forever more.
Love your family and many friends.
