Memorial Donation
With profound sadness we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of William Thomas Hiscock, our devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. Born on November 30, 1932 in Winterton to parents David and Florence Hiscock. In December 1954 he married his devoted and inseparable wife, Marina. A special love for each other that has given them a happy life together as well as a wonderful family. He was a long serving senior soldier of the Salvation Army and was a bass drummer for the Salvation Army Band for many years. In addition to his parents, Florence and David Hiscock, he was predeceased by his brother, Allan (Loretta), sister-in-law Marie (Wallace), and son-in-law, Lloyd Tuck (Cathy). Leaving to mourn, his beloved wife, Marina (Harnum). The special love they had for each other gave their children someone to admire, respect and honour; Muriel (Doug), Nora (Bruce), Bram (Jenny), David (Penny), Cathy (Ray), George (Nancy), Bruce (Chelsea), Lorne (Rita), and Keith (Leanne); Also surviving: sister, Jenny Piercey (Rex) and brother Wallace; many nieces and nephews; and a very large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Those who wish to remember William (Bill, Willie, Willis) in their special way may do so by donations to the Salvation Army Lower Trinity Corp Cemetery Fund. Visitation will take place at Greens Funeral Home, Winterton. Visitation times are as follows: 7:00-9:00 pm Sunday, January 26th and Monday, January 27th 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, Jan 28th at The Salvation Army Citadel, Winterton. Interment will immediately follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
A heartfelt thanks to all of the support staff at the long-term care facility in Carbonear: especially Mark, whom considered William his buddy, not a patient, for the past two years. To sign the memorial guestbook, please visit www.greensfuneralservices.ca
