In loving memory of
William “Bill” “Sandy” James Sandul
69 years.
It is with broken hearts and tremendous sadness, after a courageous battle with cancer we announce the passing of a real hero, our Dad on Sunday, May 3rd, 2020 at Health Sciences North. Truly the salt of the earth, his gentle soul and kind hearted nature shined through right until the end. Bill had an extraordinary love for family. A loving and devoted father, his three girls and his grandchildren meant everything to him. Lindsey (husband Jamie Melanson), Brittney, and Christina (husband John Pisanti). Proud Grandpa of James, Charlotte, Violet, William, and Austin W.J. Predeceased by his parents William and Violet Sandul (nee Kimberley). Beloved brother of Lynn Biscaro and her husband Ray, his brother-in-law and best friend.
Bill was a strong man and proud Officer. He held the rank of Major and served with
The 2 nd Battalion, The Irish Regiment of Canada and Algonquin Regiment. Longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #76. He was employed with the Ministry of Transportation for 38 years, retiring as Senior Municipal Supervisor. His love of flying led him to pursue a dream of becoming a pilot and flight instructor at Voyager Airways.
He poured his heart and soul into the family home, 80 acres of land which he called “The Meadow”. It is in this beautiful place that so many memories have been made and will be cherished forever. He will be remembered as an honourable man, with a twinkle in his eye and a smile that warms the heart.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ravi Singh for the care and compassion shown to Bill and his family.
