The family of William Daamen, sadly announces his passing in Alberta on Monday June 8th, 2020 at the age of 75 years.
Bill was a loving husband to Cathy Daamen, a caring father to Joe Daamen (Elaine), Linda Sojer (Mike), Dave Daamen (Marnie) and Cindy Daamen (Tim), a much loved Opa to Brad, Cory (Brittany), Ashley (Travis), Alicia, Chad (Brittany), Beverley, Brooke, Kirk, Jennifer, Marshall, Tanika, Shlynd and TJ and Great Opa to Chase and Sophia.
Born in Rijsbergen Holland on July 13th, 1944, Bill married Cathy in 1963 and moved to Ontario Canada shortly thereafter. They began their family and had their four children before moving out west to Calgary, Alberta. They lived and worked in Calgary for six years before moving back to Ontario with three of their children. They later retired in Acton but moved back to Alberta in 2015 when Bill’s health started to decline.
Given the current restrictions due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
The family has requested that donations in memory of Bill be made to the Acton Salvation Army Community Church in lieu of flowers.
