Obituary of William “Bill” Earl Carter
William “Bill” Earl Carter was born in The Glades, NB on July 27, 1934. He was the son of the late George and Violet (Paynter) Carter.
He was a very successful prospector for over 30 years, having received a lifetime achievement award as well as the prospector of the year award. He never met a rock he didn’t want to break.
He was a well known salmon fisherman and fly tyer. One of his flies, The Carter Bug, is known the world over.
Bill loved his family completely and would do anything for them. He will be dearly missed.
He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife of 54 years Sandra (Cook) Carter, his beloved son Andrew and his wife Sylvie of Moncton, his grandson Matthew Carter (fiancée LaRoux Musseau) of Dartmouth, his granddaughter Amy Carter of Moncton, his sisters Jean Watson and her husband Jack of Halifax and Thelma Johnson of Riverview, his brother Fred and his wife Theresa of Riverview as well as several nieces and nephews.
William Earl Carter of Sus passed away with the love of his life by his side on July 13, 2020 at the age of 85.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers; Roy Carter, Richard Carter, Gordon Carter and by his sisters Eileen Hill and Mildred Taylor.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus (506-433-1176). Due to COVID-19 all arrangements will be held privately.
