Passed away peacefully at home in Udney on Thursday, March 26th, 2020 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Mary Anne for 57 years. Loved father of Theresa (Gordon), Gerry (Sally), Sandra (John), Stephen (Tammy), Dale (Holly), Chris (Lisa) and Shawn (Randy). Loving grandfather of Spencer (Meaghan), Brianna (Robert), Allyssa (Viet), Ben, Zack, Justin (Jasminn), Ryan (Jessica), Travis (Sara), Claire, Nicholas and Kyle (Holly). Great-grandpa of Brock and Felicity. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Marcella Heitzner and siblings Rita, Robert (Cecelia), Helen (Mark) and Irene. Bill was a man of strong faith and was a member of St. Andrew’s Church in Brechin. He belonged to the Orillia AA group for 27 years and believed we should all live our lives “One Day at a Time”. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and support staff from Princess Margaret Hospital, Soldier’s Memorial Hospital and the Home Care Team who provided loving care to Dad. Due to the current conditions and out of respect for our family and friends, a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the St. Andrew’s Restoration Fund or The Ride to Conquer Cancer (Participant Theresa Robertson) may be made through the Mangan Funeral Home.
