William Bill James O’Brien 19272020

William (Bill) James O’Brien
1927-2020
With heavy hearts but cherished memories his family wishes to
share sad news that William (Bill) James O’Brien left us
peacefully on November 28, 2020, at the age of 93. Born at
St. Lawrence, PE, on May 15, 1927, he was the son of the late Roch and
Winnifred (nee Donahue) O’Brien. Bill was a beloved husband
and father. Marie (nee Corcoran) his wife of seventy-one
years, the true treasure of his life mourns along with his children
Gary (late Cheryl), John, Roy (Nancy), Karen (Rob), Colleen (Jim). He
is pre deceased by his youngest daughter Sheryl (surviving Junior). He
was a peaceful sole who touched many with his joy of living and
infectious laughter. Long he will remain in the thoughts of his
grandchildren: Chris (Connie), Laura (Pat), Katie, Kallie (Shawn),
Patrick (Heather), Kelsey (Nigel), Jesse (Madelyne), Hannah, April
(late Ryan), and Gayle. His many great grandchildren also will
treasure his positive approach to life and all things “Prince
Edward Island”. Bill was a true gift to all he met along his way.
The many stories about growing up on Centre Line road, courting Marie
and the many horses he worked with as a young man. A never-ending work
ethic was a constant in his life as well as his love of company and of
course a good card game. The family would like to thank the palliative
care unit in the Community Hospital O’Leary. Their kindness
and care were appreciated. Resting at Ferguson Funeral
Home and Chapel, O’Leary, due to Covid 19
restrictions, a celebration of Bill’s life will
take place at a future date.
