Obituary of Wilfred Fortin
“Wilf” passed away peacefully at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 12, 2020, after attending his final (virtual) Remembrance Day ceremony. Loving husband for over 60 years of the late Anita (nee Dodge) Fortin. Proud father of Anne McLean (late Ron) and Debbie Anderson (Doug), both of Smiths Falls; Susan McIntyre (Michael) of Arnprior and Marcy Barrett (Andrew) of Russell. Grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 10. Predeceased by his parents, Marcel and Josephine (nee Ferris) Fortin and his siblings. His family is grateful to the wonderful staff of the Grove Nursing Home where he entertained everyone with his cheeky jokes and tall fish tales for the last 6 years. In his memory, please consider a donation to The Grove Nursing Home Redevelopment Fund. A private graveside service will be held following COVID protocols.
