Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Wilfred Stanley Anderson announce his passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, December 7th, 2020 at the age of 64 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Wilfred was the son of the late Walter and Geraldine Anderson. He was also predeceased by his brothers; Teddy Anderson, Harold Anderson, Melvin Anderson and niece Amanda Battiste.
He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving sister; Pauline (Jerome) Battiste of Port aux Basques, NL, brothers; Johnny (Caroline) Anderson of St. John’s, NL, David (Jeannie) Anderson, Robbie Anderson, Todd Anderson, and Andy Anderson all of Port aux Basques, NL. He will also be sadly missed by a large circle of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Wilfred was an avid hunter who loved spending time in the woods, fishing, and his greatest passion was spending time at his cabin in Butter Harbour. He was kind and loving man who will be sadly missed by everyone. He will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors and staff of the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for their care and kindness at this time.
In keeping with Wilfred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home (Downtown Location). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 11th, at 11 am from Wesley United Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway officiated by Joan Chaisson. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Wilfred’s memory can be made to the family.
