July 8, 1941 – May 26, 2020 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband, Melvin Wilcox on May 26, 2020 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 78 years. Melvin loved his family and loved helping and providing services to others. He faithfully served as an usher at his church. Nobody was a stranger. He was well liked and respected by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his Wife, Celie; Children, Valda (Raymond), Morris (Darlene), Benson (Philomena), Dinna, Linda (Edward), Eddie (Kerry), Bradley; Brother, George (Kelly); Grandchildren, Jacob, April, Kayla, Jamie, Brandon, Philip, Ryan, Samantha; Greatgrandchildren, Dakota, Desiree, Deacon, Elena, Broady, Tayshaun, Brentley, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He is predeceased by Wife, Evelyn; Parents, Solomon and Elsie Wilcox; Sisters, Vernetta; Brother-in-law, Randolph Welcher; and Grandson Dillon. The funeral service took place on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 11:00 am from the Aposotlic Faith Church in Roddickton, with Pastor Hewlett officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’ Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
