Wendy Wilson-Roe Sunday June 14th 2020

On the evening of Sunday, June 14, 2020 at McNally House Hospice, Wendy passed away peacefully in the presence of her family. In the days prior, she celebrated her 61st birthday and 36th wedding anniversary. Beloved wife of Frank Roe. Cherished mother of Alex Roe and Shauna Roe. Dear daughter of Mary Wilson (David Latremoille) and the late Bruce Wilson. Adored sister of Nancy Wilson (Neil Whitehall) and sister-in-law Katherine Roe and Shirley Roe. Loved aunt of Jordan Roe, Erika Whitehall, Emma Whitehall, and baby Briar.
Wendy dedicated her life to raising and nurturing her family, changing the lives of countless children through her career as an educational assistant, and forging quality time with friends new and old wherever she found herself, from St. Lambert, to Montreal, Brampton, Oshawa, London, Cambridge, and Grimsby. She is remembered by many for her constant compassion, genuine spirit, her warmth, her humor, and of course, her smile.
Private cremation has taken place and a fitting celebration-of-life will be held at a later date for Wendy’s family and friends. In lieu of flowers and condolences, we invite you to share stories and memories of Wendy of all kinds on this page.
If desired, donations can be made to McNally House Hospice (www.mcnallyhousehospice.com/donate-now/in-memorium-celebration-of-lives/) or the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca/en/donate/?region=on&s_srx=cancer.ca-navbar-en).

  1. I met Wendy through a good friend of ours and always looked forward to meeting up with her each summer. She had a smile that warmed your soul and a great laugh that was so very contagious.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they’re watching over us.”
May God bless your family and friends as they journey on without you. As they look to the sky may they feel your warm touch in the sun, have loving memories return hidden in the clouds, see your smile in the moon and watch your eyes sparkle in the stars. Susan Koenderink
