Wendell’s Obituary
Acker, Wendell Holmes-62, Shelburne, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Born in Sandy Point he was a son of the late Fulton and Mabel (Brown) Acker. Wendell was one of a very large family. In his earlier years he enjoyed playing hockey and was a Montreal Canadian’s fan. Wendell was a care giver for his parents until their passing. He worked as a dry waller. Wendell enjoyed talking to people and loved country music. He is survived by son, Christian Mark Rose; brothers, William (Joanne); Gary (Diane); Angecley ( Dana); sisters, Beverley Bergs; Nancy Boucher; Lillian Acker; Catherine Rissell (William); Virginia O’Brien (Doug); Marjorie Acker (Ken); granddaughter, Jasmine as well as many nieces and nephews .Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother John, sister Ada and child in infancy. Cremation will take place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium Limited following the service. No flowers by request. A service will take place on Sunday, January 19 at 2:00 pm in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne with Rev. Paul Warden officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.You may sign the guest book at:www.huskilson.net
