Obituary of Wayne Peters
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his loving children, daughter Kaylynn (Cody Roberts), and sons, Devon (Melvina) and Travis (Brianne). He leaves behind two grandchildren, Lily and Abel. He is survived by his sister Sherri (Rick) Peters along with niece Lisa and nephew Ryan. He is also survived by niece Kayli Di in the Philippines.
He was predeceased by parents, Clint and Ila, as well as brother, George.
Wayne was born in Calgary and raised in the Dawson Creek area. He was always a hard worker that provided for his family and always offered help to his friends. He called his home “his little piece of heaven”. Home was out on the farm where he worked hard and played even harder. He loved all his 10 horses and would ride them often around the farm or in the mountains with family and friends.
In the last few years, Wayne enjoyed travelling. He took many trips to Thailand, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines and Mexico. He made many new friends around the world as he enjoyed his new found love of diving. He completed 130 dives in a few short years. He also enjoyed the relaxed pace of cruising taking several trips with friends and family.
He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Wayne to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Suite #200-885 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver BC, V6C 1N5.
