1948-2020
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB,
September 27, 2020 Wayne Verne Hiltz of St. Stephen, NB, son of the
late Verne and Madeline (McGlinchey) Hiltz.
Survived by his daughter, Stacey Hiltz (Chris Bowden), aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Wayne enjoyed playing, watching and being involved in sports
such as golf, hockey, baseball and curling. He was well known among
the community as a dedicated volunteer, fundraiser for numerous
charities and organizations. He also was a member of Kirk
McColl United Church, Knights of Pythias, Royal Canadian Legion St.
Croix Branch #9, The St. Stephen Golf Club and local square
dancers.
Funeral service will be held, Thursday, October 1, 2020 at
2:00 PM from The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main
St., St. Stephen, NB. Visiting hours will be held Thursday
from 12:00 to 1:45 PM.
Interment at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen,
NB.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Charlotte County
Cancer Society, IWK, or a charity of one’s choice would be
appreciated by the family.
Due to the ongoing government restrictions of Covid 19, we
require that you wear a mask during your time in the funeral home and
be mindful of social distancing.
