Wayne Richard Beaudoin Monday November 2nd 2020

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Wayne at age 82 on November 2nd, 2020 following a valiant battle with cancer.
Love of a lifetime to wife Lois (nee Rogers), dear brother to John (Dawn Desormeaux), cherished and devoted father to Mark (Kelly) and Michelle (Brian Hanson), and proud grandfather of Johnny, Laurel, and Cohen. Son of the late Mark and Blanche (nee Bondy).
Wayne lived, in his own words, an incredibly wonderful life. Born in Harrow, his family moved to Hamilton where, at the age of 8, he met his future wife. After graduating from McMaster University, Wayne worked for R.L. Crain for 30 years and retired from Laidlaw/Canadian Waste after 16 years.
Following 40 years of dedication to Kiwanis, he was recently honoured with his induction into the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa’s prestigious Hall of Fame. Wayne was also involved in the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, entertaining seniors through three bands (Mellow Tones, Sharps & Flats, and Super Jazz), and member of the St. Monica’s church choir. He was an avid fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Toronto Blue Jays, and Ottawa Senators, and adored his golden retrievers.
In his down-time, Wayne’s favourite place to be was the family cottage at Bass Lake in Muskoka. He filled it with 50 years of love and joy through three generations.
Wayne will be remembered for being a wonderful conversationalist and storyteller, pursuer of good will to all, man of deep faith, and devoted family man.
We wish to extend our comfort to those who loved, and was loved by him, especially his extended family, “The Group”, the bridge clubs, the bandmates, and many special friends of which he counted you all.
The family would like to also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the General and St. Vincent’s hospitals who treated Wayne with compassion, dignity, and respect.
