Wayne Michael Ramsammy Tuesday December 8th 2020

Wayne Michael Ramsammy returned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, after a brief illness. His firm belief in God, and the love and devotion of his family and close friends, supported him in his ultimate transition into eternal peace.
Wayne was born to parents, Raymond “Bobby” and June LeBlanc Ramsammy in Georgetown, Guyana on August 22, 1968. Perhaps the warm environment of his birthplace had something to do with the warmth and infectiousness of his personality. He loved life and enjoyed hanging out with his many friends. He was loyal, dependable, and generous – he would give you the “shirt off his back.”
Wayne received his schooling in Georgetown, Guyana, and as a young adult, pursued studies in telecommunications and worked for many years at the Guyana Telecommunication Corporation as a Service Technician, before relocating to Ontario, Canada to join his dad. In Ontario, Wayne worked with several companies as a skilled materials management and machine operations technician. He was hard working and recognized by his employers for his stellar work ethic.
Wayne also had many meaningful relationships: with his loving mother, with whom he had a special bond. She was his “rock” and he was her “heart”. He also enjoyed a strong and loving relationship with his daughter Jazmin, (from his marriage to Pheona Cheddie) who was the apple of his eye, and in whose heart he holds a special place. The love of Wayne’s life in recent years has been his partner, Celeste Sears. Although they had been friends for 33 years, the stars aligned and they were brought together again in an even closer bond. Celeste has been loving and kind and supportive of Wayne and hoped they would grow old together. Wayne tended to form close relationships with all whom he met, as even his cat, Suzi, and the birds and squirrels that he befriended, will all miss him in his passing.
These few words cannot fully detail the hearts he touched, the numerous friends he collected, and his “joie de vivre”. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who are comforted in knowing that he is at peace with His creator.
Wayne is survived by his loving mother, June LeBlanc Johnson of Silver Spring, Maryland; father, Raymond “Bobby” Ramsammy (Barbara); adoring daughter, Jazmin Ramsammy (mother Pheona Cheddie), loving daughter, Nikita Clark of Georgetown Guyana; siblings Marc Ramsammy (Tanya) and Genea Ramsammy-Hylton (Lemont), aunts Joy LeBlanc-Alston (Carson), and Patricia Dornford (Noel); uncles Walter Ramsammy (Yvonne), Joseph Ramsammy (Shanaz), Ronald Ramsammy (Shirley), and Donald Ramsammy; many cousins to include Melika Smith (Theron), Allison Bryant (Michael), Nyron Rahim (Lang), Sean Rahim (Brandie), and Suzanna Rahim; nieces and nephew Chyenne, Jalen, Olivia, and Adriana; loving, steadfast friend and partner Celeste Sears, and numerous friends and family.
