Wayne’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wayne Callahan announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the age of 64 years. He leaves to mourn with fond loving memories his daughters: Jennifer Bourgeois (Aime), Lisa Callahan (Tony), and Tonya Bennett (Ian). His grandchildren: Beau, Ryder, Ryan, Cassidy, Kathlyn, Abigail, and Quentin; his loving mother: Serenna Callahan; his sisters: Jocelyn Kennedy (David) with whom he resided, Beverley Pollard (Lloyd), Bernadette Moore (Lloyd). His brothers: Edward (Mimie), Roderick (Susan), Stephen (Patricia) and Gregory (Tracey). His special friends: Marilyn, Lorne, and his buddies at Walshee’s, and a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his father: Edward Callahan (Feb 18, 2012). At Wayne’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private family celebration of life will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at a later date. Interment will also take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to send special thanks to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at WMRH, who are truly angels, also the caregivers for their special home care and also Wayne’s Community Health Palliative Care Nurse, Tammy Benoit, for her tender loving kindness and care she shown him in these last six months.
