Obituary

On the morning of Wednesday, September 16, 2020 Wayne Frank Glavin passed awaypeacefully at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with his sister by his side at the age of 66 years. Wayne was born in Trail, BC to Helen and Frank Glavin on July 26, 1954.
Wayne was born in Trail but at a young age, the family moved to Canal Flats where Wayne grew up. He left school at an early age to work in the logging industry as he loved being a faller. Wayne loved it and made this his career. He lived in different camps all over BC and even as far away as Ontario. Wayne loved gardening and he and Joyce enjoyed many hours working the soil. He was especially proud of his garlic and the bounty of the harvest he and Joyce enjoyed.
Wayne leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Joyce; his daughter Shila Glavin and his step children; Catherine and James. Wayne also leaves behind two grandsons; Mitchell and Michael Glavin as well as one step-granddaughter, Alice. Wayne is also survived by his father, Frank Glavin, one sister Debbie (Rodney) Aune and two brothers, Brian and Lester Glavin. Wayne was predeceased by his mother Helen and one brother Kevin. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
