After a long career as a pipefitter, Roy retired in Edmonton, topping his own personal sports accomplishments by becoming an armchair quarterback from his wheelchair. He enjoyed music, dancing, singing, sports, horseracing and a good steak sandwich.
After cremation, internment will be held at a later date in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan. The family wishes to thank all those who assisted with home care, including care workers from CBI and AHS and medical support from the Good Samaritan Seniors Clinic. The care allowed Roy to enjoy his home and his best friend, his dog Autumn.
