Violet’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Violet Keough- Mckenzie announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Saturday October 17th ,2020 surrounded by her family.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children; Randy(Cheryl) Welsh, Quinton (Wilima-Lee) Keough, Kelly(Ian), Nikki and Cara(Chase). Grandchildren; Byron, Brandon ,Kyle, Austin, Brittany, Eric, Kyler, Brooke, Kaiden, Ariel and Kiley. Her 3 great-grandchildren; Grayson, Briar-Rose and Kirsten. Special friend Myles Bennett. Sister’s; Rosanna (Joe) Welsh, Frances (Dale) and Terri (Justin) Blanchard. Brother’s; Pius (Bertha) and Glen. Also a special friend Masie and Ted Decker the father of her two girls: Nikki & Cara. Violet also leaves to mourn numerous aunts, uncles ,nieces, nephews as well as other family and friends.
Violet was predeceased by her parents Raymond & Sylvia Keough. Husband Larry Mckenzie and brothers; Sterling, George and Jerome.
Visitation will take place at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel on Monday October 19th ,2020 from the hours of 2-4 pm and will continue from the hours of 7-9 at the Anglican Church in Parsons Pond also where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday October 20th , 2020 at 2pm. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. The service can be viewed live stream on our Face Book page parsons funeral home (DeerLake). In keeping with Violets wishes cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Nurses & Doctors of the ICU unit at Western Memorial for the care and compassion they had for their mom.
