Vianney’s Obituary
Tardif , Jerome Vianney– age 87, died peacefully Friday, December 18 2020 at the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Facility, Middleton. Vianney, formally lived in Kingston NS. Born in Jacquet River, NB., he was the son of John and Beatrice (Legacy) Tardif. Vianney finished his career as a Linesman at CFB Greenwood for over 25 yrs. He was a “Jack of all trades” in that he could do anything. He was a member of St Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, Middleton, NS., and a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Vianney volunteered often in the community and was always willing to help others. He loved wood working and gardening.
He is survived by his seven children, Mary Anne (Rick) Dymond, London ON., Jenny Tardif Flaherty, Kentville NS, Austin (Cheryl Meade) AB, Theresa (Chris) Banks, Greenwood NS., John Tardif, AB, Aaron (Eva Smith) Tardif PEI, Willa Tardif Bain Aylesford, NS; many grandchildren; brothers Manuel Tardif Beloeil PQ, Freddy (Annette) Tardif Beloeil PQ; sister, Loraine (Gussy) Lejeune Bathurst; sisters- in-law, Theresa (Arsenault) Tardif and Nellie Tardif.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Delores, Gregory, Edgar and Arthur; sisters, Evangeline, Leona and Dorilda.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at St. Monica’s Parish, Middleton. Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating. Due to COVID 19 restrictions this is by invitation from family only. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St. Middleton, NS toll free 1-855-825-3448.
