Hart Vernon Herbert passed on Tuesday September 1, 2020 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Denning) of 63 years. Vernie was the much loved father of Valerie Murgatroyd (Anthony),Edmonton; Nancy Dickson (Kevin), Gananoque ; Herbert (Lisa), Napanee ; and Margaret Hart-Nolan (Kirk), Kingston. Adored grandfather of Joshua, Cassandra, Christopher, William, James, Graham, Kyle, MacKenzie, Shelby, Connor, Shalisa, Braden & Shylah. He was also loved by 12 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Vern was born at Lime Lake and grew up in the Napanee area, son of Manley and Myrtle Hart. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Donald. He is survived by his siblings Doris Cuthill, Vera Cuthill (JIm) and Gerald Hart. Vernie’s passions in life were farm and family. He passed those loves on to his family with pride. Vern was a humble, generous man with a good sense of humour that will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee Chapel on Friday September 11, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Family Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Friends desiring may contribute in Vern;s memory to the L&A Hospice or the Lung Association. Online condolences at www.wartmanfuneralhomes.com.
