Passed away, peacefully, at Woodingford Lodge, Tillsonburg, Verna Marie (Pake) Klaver, formerly of Wycombe, at the age of 93. Verna was born in Wycombe, daughter to the late James “Orlo” Pake and late former Bessie Booth. For 37 years, Verna was employed with Ontario Hydro, as district area clerk in the Tillsonburg and Aylmer offices. She was a proud member of St. Paul’s United Church, Tillsonburg and previously was a member of Lynedoch United Church. Survived by several cousins. Predeceased by her cousins Irene Whitesell and Beulah Foster.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, a private Funeral Service of Remembrance has taken place in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg by Rev. Karlene Brown-Palmer, of St. Paul’s United Church, Tillsonburg. Interment followed in the Delhi Cemetery. On Verna’s tribute page (at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com), relatives and friends are invited to share their favourite photos, memories, express condolences, send flowers or make memorial donations in honour of Verna to “St. Paul’s United Church.” For assistance, please call the Maurice J.
