Obituary of Verena Maude Carl
CARL, VERENA MAUDE (nee GORDON)
March 30, 1926 to May 4, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Verena, in her home, at 94 years of age. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Emmard (in 2007), and her eldest daughter, Nancy (in 2015). She will be greatly missed by her children: Alan (Sue), Dale, Judy (Stephen Milling), Heather (Michael Rahilly), and Brian. Loving grandmother to: Mike (Jenise), Jennifer (Colin Corkum), Serena Milling (Mike Delaney) and Elisha Lopez. Special great-grandmother to her six joys: Emma, London, Gillian, Ashley, Olivia and Scarlett. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Adele Harrington and Ruth Gordon, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Latimer, Ontario at home to Thomas and Maud Gordon (nee Kellar). Her passions included her family, feeding /watching birds and working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed travel, ATVing and snowmobiling with her dear Emmard. She especially enjoyed being involved with, and hearing about, all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren activities. Verena worked at many jobs outside her home, the final being at Queen’s University Faculty of Education (Duncan McArthur Hall) where she was secretary to many professors.
The family would to thank Jeanette and Amanda for the wonderful care of Verena.
A private interment will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held when normalcy returns to all of our lives.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the MS Society, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Verena
