Yurchenko, Vera Georgievna, Citizen of the World; former resident of the United Arab Emirates; born on August 4, 1964 in the city of Talgar, Almaty Region, former Kazakh Republic of USSR; daughter of Zoya and George Yurchenko and most recently a resident of Penticton BC.
Vera was predeceased by her father, George in 1992. Vera leaves behind her beloved Husband Steve Lydiatt PhD; her cherished daughter, Dasha Yurchenko; her cherished mother, Zoya Yurchenko; brother, Vitaliy (Nicole) Yurchenko; step-daughter, Tracey; step-son, Brian; Steve’s two brothers, Jeff and Destin who had the opportunity to know Vera from visits and holiday times together; her nephew, Peter Yurchenko and many friends from around the World.
Vera graduated from Almaty Culinary college in 1985. Vera was passionate about cooking and she did so professionally for many years. Vera loved to design and make artisan knitwear. Vera was a special spirit; a person who saw the World the way that it should be and not the way that it is. Steve and Vera traveled together to many countries and across Canada. Vera accompanied Steve to the arctic in Canada where they lived for three years. Vera and Steve had been residing in Penticton in their own home for the last four years.
